Record and Transcribe Teams Meetings Automatically

Never take meeting notes again — recording permissions, live transcription, and where the files land.

  1. 1. Start recording with transcription, not just recording

In the meeting → More → Record and transcribe → Start transcription. Transcription alone (without full recording) is lighter and searchable — enable it whenever recording feels heavy-handed.

  2. 2. Announce it — legally and socially

Florida is a two-party consent state for audio recording: announce recording at the start and note it in the invite. The Teams banner helps, but verbal notice plus consent keeps client relationships and the law happy.

  3. 3. Find everything after: Recap tab

Meeting chat → Recap holds video, transcript with speaker names, and AI notes. Share the recap link instead of your handwritten summary — searchable beats remembered.
